Believe

For the longest time I thought that the cold would never end-- never end.
For the longest time my thoughts were like walls that wouldn't bend-- they couldn't bend. So I said....
Open up you mind; if we never look, we'll never see, never see.
Open up your mind; we can only be what we believe, and I believe.
And I say oh! I've heard it all before-- that you can never be as good as you're trying for. But don't believe what you hear, or you will never come near.
Everyday we see something that we think is out of sight, still in sight.
Everyday we see-- everyday we only see the night, but it's so bright.
And I say oh! I've heard it all before-- that you can never be as good as you're trying for. But don't believe what you hear, or you will never come near.
Oh I've heard it all before...
Oh I've heard it all before...
Oh I've heard it all before...
Oh I've heard it all before...
And I say oh! I've heard it all before-- that you can never be as good as you're trying for. But don't believe what you hear, or you will never come near.

Take Control

Just like a drop into the sea-- you'll fit in perfectly.
But is that what you want to be? Lost in conformity.
Just like a diamond underground-- you're never to be found.
Different from everything around, but you never made a sound.
Aye! Oh! Don't let it take control!
Don't let the day go, then watch the night unfold.
And then the sunrise will bathe your world in gold.
I never let the future die when they told me not to try.
I never let the future die when there was no one by my side.
No destination and no end-- only time that I can spend.
No limitations to the bends-- but do you really want your road to end?
Aye! Oh! Don't let it take control!
Don't let the day go, then watch the night unfold.
And then the sunrise will bathe your world in gold.
Aye! Don't let it take control! Don't let it.....
Aye! Oh! Don't let it take control!
Don't let the day go, then watch the night unfold.
And then the sunrise will bathe your world in gold.
Just like a drop into the sea-- you'll fit in perfectly. But is that what you want to be?

When the first star swells in his eye,
The last star fell from the sky.
And he struck into the heart of the night.
He robbed all of the stars-- stole the moon under the moonlight.
The man who stole the light.
When the next day came, it was dark.
With no trace of shame in his heart.
And he struck into the heart of the night.
He robbed all of the stars-- stole the moon under the moonlight.
The man who stole the light!
When the last star fades from his hand,
He sees what he's made of the land.
But his heart is cold as the night.
So he keeps his hold, and takes his life.

Somewhere Someday

Take all my love and just fly away. I'll see you there someday.
I won't be long, I'll be on my way, and I'll see you somewhere, someday.
And if I feel like I've lost my way-- like I might have gone astray,
I'll think of all we might have someday, if we only believe in what we say.
Don't save your love for another day; this love is here to stay.
You'll be the fire that lights my way, 'til I see you somewhere, someday.
And when I feel like I've lost my way-- like I might have gone astray,
I'll think of all we might have someday, if we only believe in what we say.
Take all my love and just fly away. I'll see you there someday.
I won't belong, I'll be on my way, and I'll see you somewhere, someday.
I'll see you somewhere, someday!
And I'll see you somewhere, someday.
